The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yusha No Nariagari) is Getting an Anime: Before the Hype

Listen up nerds! The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yusha No Nariagari) is getting an anime.

Now, I want to tell you all before this series even comes out that it is going to be big. Quite possibly one of the best trapped in another world series because of its willingness to take things to a slightly more intense extreme than usual. (Think of a lighter version of Re:Zero, but with more emotional pain).

I’ll let ANN handle the announcement from here.

Via Anime News Network:

The Twitter account of the Osada, Shizuoka branch of the Yoshimi Books store posteda picture on Thursday that reveals an anime adaptation of Aneko Yusagi‘s The Rising of The Shield Hero (Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari) fantasy light novel series has been green-lit. The image shows promotional flyers from MF Books, the light novel label of Kadokawa‘s brand company Media Factory that publishes the series.

Now, I will start off by saying that The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yusha No Nariagari) has a VERY STRONG start and if you can get over the fact that the trapped in another world premise has been used quite often as of late, then you will more than likely enjoy this series.

I just wanted to tell you guys about it before it gets all popular and you are the last person to know about this great series as all of your friends go, “Well, you have to read the manga or the fantasy light novel to hear about x happening.”

You don’t want a Game of Thrones moment on your hands do you?!

Do you?!

Well…actually the tv show has surpassed the books, so maybe you do what that moment to happen.

Either way, I am incredibly excited for The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yusha No Nariagari) and if you are too, let me know in the comments below.

P.S. (Yeah, I don’t know what is up with the english voice acting over this trailer either.)
